Buying a car, yup, that's next on the to do list :P.

I've been thinking to buy a car for quite some time now. I guess the wait is finally over. I have decided on buying a Ford Ikon 1.6 Josh machine very soon :))

There's a catch though, I don't yet have a driving license for a car :P. So, before I drive away in my beauty, I have to get a license :))

Back from the land without electricity

Well, Its been long since I've blogged. And no reason in specific but just that I was a bit preoccupied and then went on a long delayed leave to my home town. My home town is Meerut (U.P) and I went there to visit my grand parents..

I had been a long time since I had met them so took a leave to visit them and stay with them for awhile. They are great people with very little expectations from other people, including their children. I have never seen anyone more proud and self reliant even with their old age and related health problems.

By the way, if you don't already know, Meerut is a town in Uttar Pradesh (U.P). Its a little town and being in U.P hasn't helped much. When I went there I couldn't see any significant change compared to my last visit there (except for a new multiplex thats just completed). The people there are also not very hospitable and the language is pretty harsh (roudy). But nevertheless, it is my home town :).

Another bad point was that the town has a power cut ranging from 10 hrs to 18 hrs everyday. So, practically the town runs on generators or invertors..

The daily newspaper is a typical bollywood masala type paper with murder,fire,rape and corruption practically covering the whole news.

And when I had arrived there, it hadn't rained for 2 months which is astonishing considering it is the rainy season. But, noone complains!!!

Why?

Cause everyone is use to this stuff. It is EXPECTED. Talk about low expectations :P.

Anyway, I am back in Pune (which has electricity, thanks God for that) and back at work :(.
