USA - California - San Francisco - Foster City
Foster City, CA. Thats the place where I am right now. The place is beautiful. Right next to the sea and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Foster city is a small place next to San Francisco, and has very few residents as compared to any village in India. The thing that struck me most is that if you walk out on the street, you will rarely find anyone else walking. The weather currently is awesome as its spring time, and the weather sunny. This place is for people who want to live an easy life away from the crowd and just spend years after years without worrying about money or other material things. But you need a car here :P. Its absolutely impossible to survive here if you son't have a car. The cabs are more expensive than a meal. And people dumb. The people here are very single minded. If you ask someone a question, wait before the person figures it out before u ask the next one.. Otherwise, you'll get a blank look back :D. Like the first day I asked the receptionist of the hotel to tell me if my colleagues are in while she was checking me in. She completely stopped doing what she was, waited a complete minute before replying "Let's do one thing at a time, first we check you in, then I'll tell you where your friends are". I thought, okay, no big deal. Then she gave me my reciept for the room booking and stared to go out. I said, "hey, what about the question I asked" . She said, " I've written it on your reciept". Man, now is that something, she had a problem anwering such a simple question, but coulput the answer as a comment :D. Similarly, if you ask any waiter for two things at a time, they always write the first one and then again ask for the second thing. Anyways, I guess thats the way things work around here.
On the whole though, its easier to get things done as most of it is automated :P
